Razer Carcharias Help?

I own a Razer Carcharis gaming headset. I would like to talk in games like Counter Strike: Source and Team Fortress 2. But my Mic is too quiet. I have gone into Steam and game settings and turned it up max and its the same. If anyone owns this headset or has any ideas i would appreciate the help. thanks
