Is the processor speed listed in control panel>system always right?
I purchased a new laptop yesterday and the specs don't match the advertisements. The sign at the store and the website description both stated that the laptop has an AMD A6-3400M APU Quad-Core 2.3ghz processor. However, the specs in the system section of the control panel lists the processor as just a 1.4ghz Quad-core processor. The weirdest thing about it all is when compared side by side with my old laptop which has a 2.1ghz processor, the new laptop is easily 5 times faster when loading the same program. So, were all the advertisements misleading, or is it possible there is just some type of error within windows causing the processor to be listed improperly?
