WELL the answer is that at times I want to work on my bed, or have some sort of freedom and not work at my desk 24/7 with an ugly ethernet cable. I want to be able to use my ipod for browsing the internet because sometimes its faster than loading up the computer etc... Unfortunatley for watever reason my College seems to think we should not have any routers. I for one, refuse to obey this law, and so i am indeed a bad person. But in all fairness im not planning on doing anything illegal, or obstructing anything. All i want is the freedom to work anywhere i want in my room, or use the interent function on my ipod. So i was browsing all through out the internet, and came upon stories with individuals who also faced the same problem but they figured out soultions to the problems. They said what they did was lower the signal level to just their rooms, kept their wifi password protected, and wifi invisible ( meaning that the only way you can find the wifi signal is if you knew the name of the network, and the password.) Why is my computer freezing while playing TF2 and full screen videos?

Sorry, I don't have all the specs of my computer. It is fairly new, a year or two old, with windows 7. I've ran 4 or 5 programs to scan for viruses, and to defrag the computer. since about a year ago every time I viewed a video (on youtube for example) in FULL SCREEN, my computer froze and went black, looping the last half second of audio over and over until I shut it off. This did not happen immediately, but after a seemingly random amount of time after going full screen. I just recently downloaded TF2 (Team Fortress 2) from Steam, and It has the same problem. After a seemingly random amount of time it freezes and loops audio etc. Ive even played it in windowed mode and it still does this. I cant tell what's wrong, if anyone could help I'd be very appreciative, thanks!

Honest opinions of Europeans towards Americans, and perhaps even vise versa?

I'm American, and personally find it a wonderful country. I find our history fascinating, the way we made a powerful nation out of literally nothing. I love being able to call my country the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. I admire America and my American ancestors as do many others, which I don't think is a just reason to call us arrogant and too patriotic. And what about the accents? American women practically swoon over British guys with the accent and all (I know I do!) but do Europeans find American accents unpleasant?I know you all think we are loud and authoritative, and I agree, it's just how many of us naturally speak, but not in a disrespectful way. I myself actually tend to think of British people as being very quiet and reserved. Americans think of Europeans in general to be attractive people, is that thought returned? Just curious. And please do elaborate on your thoughts of Americans and why many of you find us untrustworthy, ruining the world, uneducated, greedy, etc. And I also heard other cultures feel we smile too much but our smiles are void of any warmth or friendliness and our eyes appear cold and calculating.. We do smile a lot, at strangers passing on the sidewalk or while just relaxing with friends, but it's not meant to be misleading or a sham of friendliness. And our eyes? Really? Why can't I view the current players in my game whenever I play Team Fortress 2?

I click shift + tab to view the steam window, and then I click view players, so I can add friends or see their profile. I only read half of this, but as soon as I read "the ladies I know describe me as one of the nicest and most passive guys who you could ever meet; who would do anything to help anyone" it seems obvious. Being a doormat and 'doing anything to help anyone' just makes you look like you're desperate for others approval, and being desperate for others approval equates to lack of confidence and the self esteem needed to be yourself, very unattractive qualities to men or women I'm afraid. I doubt that girls consciously see this in you, but the psychology of attraction is mostly unconscious, so they will consciously see you as nice passive guy, but they won't have feelings for you. I guess you would probably attract more women if you acted like a bad boy rather than acting like a people pleaser, but you're still not being authentic or genuine, so ultimately until you learn to connect with yourself it will be hard to connect with someone else.

Is it just me or 'Duke Nukem Forever Demo' for PC is really slow?

It might be your computer. I literally just downloaded the demo about an hour ago and I get 60+ frames per second on my gaming laptop. If you have a steam then I am sure that you are a gamer and have sufficient components and probably surpass the recommended system requirements. There may be an error is the graphics coding or something like that. I'm not even sure graphics coding is even a real term. I know its something like that. Try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

I keep hearing one "skeptic" talk about CO2 only going up by 0.01%, so I'd like to know how much the AMOUNT of CO2 has gone up (kilograms, pounds, tonnes, whatever). Isn't it the amount that matters to the greenhouse effect? Since nitrogen, oxygen, argon, etc., are not greenhouse gases anyway, I'm not sure why anyone would want to only characterize the change in CO2 with reference to those gases (unless they were trying to mislead people, of course).

So I downloaded steam, made my username my real name, and downloaded team fortress 2. I then realized that the username I picked was my online game name, so I switched the contact email and made a brand new account with the same email I used for the last account, because that's my primary email. Anyway, I launched team fortress 2, went into a game, and it displayed my name to be my real name!!! Even though on my account it shows the new account I created. Why does my Team Fortress 2 keep saying 'retrieving server information' when I click 'start playing'?

I installed TF2 and after 7 hours of installing everything seemed to be working perfectly but the online play. I clicked 'start playing' and it just says 'retrieving server information please wait.' So I waited about a half an hour and it still said it. So I uninstalled and reinstalled it, which took another 7 hours, and it says the same thing. I've tried restarting my steam, reinstalling the game, restarting my computer, and also restarting my router but nothing seems to change or help. Any ideas on why this is happening or what I can do to fix it? Thanks!

Well i might start by suggesting that you learn to drive. I know someone who drives about 4 hours down to Boston every other week for his violin lesson (he's REALLY good). Juilliard would probably like to see the commitment you put into getting lessons and improving your playing. Since you already seem to be a great player (congrats on all of your accomplishments, btw), your playing would still greatly improve if you took private lessons (this is true for about 99.9% of all musicians). If your playing were to improve even more, you might have a better chance at Juilliard! Sorry I can't be more helpful when it comes to the more flute-specific aspects of your question, but I don't play, so I'll leave that to people who know what they're talking about:)

Hey this is my first time posting, but i wasn't sure where to turn. So i'm a college student and just finished up freshman year. I recently signed a lease for an apartment for next fall and have a binding contract stating that we have the apartment, what the rent will be, terms of the agreement, etc. However, after signing this contract with my roommate on June 7th, i got a call today from our future landlord saying that he had actually already rented our apartment to another tenant on June second and, due to an error on his part, he signed us to the apartment as well. When he informed me of this, he was very apologetic and eager to get us into another unit. However, I'm not happy at all with the situation and feel like we were mislead due to the landlord's idiocy at our own cost. Why can't I view the current players in my game whenever I play Team Fortress 2?

Consulting the huge computer printout using a magnifying glass and a ruler it was discovered that the elections officer must have lined through the wrong name when another person voted. I asked if they checked voter registration cards and was told the precinct "didn't need them" and asked if they needed to see picture ID and they said no. They told me I couldn't vote because I already had, I refused to leave and told them to get someone in to shut the voting station down due to election irregularities and, that someone had voted in my name. They "let" me vote but weren't happy about it. To sum up, irregularities happen and on what scale we just don't know. I did not vote twice but, I would wager someone else did.

For 2 months I've had loose, flabby and dry skin all over my belly for 2 months, and it doesn't go away?

Any suggestions. Here's a bit more detail. I have not lost weight, nor lost fat/muscle. I've had pretty much the same weight/fat percentage for a very long time, 6 months. If I've lost any weight it was like a pound or two. What caused the loose skin was a weird encounter at the pool. I went for a swim, but I decided to rest and I happened to be close to a pipe, with a pretty strong steam of water coming out of it, so I decided to massage my entire belly region with the stream, especially around my belly button. The massage felt so nice, lasted about 2 minutes. When I came out of the pool, my belly skin was literally hanging LOOSE. It's been 2 Months now, and there's no imporvement, there's loose, very flabby, and dry skin over my whole abdominals and it doesn't seem to go away at all. I've tried all kinds of lotions, but with no success. Even when im walking, the skin feels extremely loose and sensitive. My body fat is pretty low,, I'm wondering what to do to fix this problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?, everything is appreciated.

Went on a job interview. Now what?

I went on a job interview a week ago yesterday. While I was there, the plant manager loved me and said that she was going to call me without a doubt. She said that I was the perfect fit for the job and that she would need me to start as early as Wednesday. (2 days ago). I waited until 3:00 on Tuesday and gave her a call to see what the status of my application was. (she works til 3:30). Left a message with the secretary and the manager never called me back. I only called to followup because if she wanted me to work Wednesday like she mentioned I needed to get daycare for my 2 children. When I was at the interview she told me that she was going to talk to the owner of the company and see if the position I applied for could be made a managers position instead of just a lead position. She also mentioned that it is very hard to get in touch with the owner a lot of the times. Well now I don't know what to do. I feel as though I was mislead. Why tell me that I am the perfect fit and that you are going to call me and do NOTHING? Should I call back and try to contact her again or just assume I did not get the position? Please let me know. Im so stressed out. :-/

Team Fortress 2 crashes during opening?

I downloaded TF2 after it became free from Steam. The first time I tried to open it, it made it just past the Valve clip in the opening before the screen disappeared. My b/f of 7 months left to his country around 1 1/2 month ago. Before leaving he made me believe that he is for sure coming back. He all the times assured me that he is coming back and that he is only going for a one month vacation. He is a USMC. Since he went back he has been calling and texting me all the times. However, few days prior to his coming back date he called and said that he extended his vacation for more two weeks. I said to him that I haven't heard from him for few days and just wonder whets going on. He replied that he has been busy and will call me back when he comes back from the wedding....Yep he didn't call back.....I just felt when he spoke to me that he was annoyed and simply didn't want to talk. Can't really understand whets going on few days ago he was expressing his love to me and that he wants to marry me one day and now he sounds as if he no longer interested.
